Thomas Schmid

Thomas is Managing Director of avvaneo GmbH, Frankfurt am Main. Founded together with Carsten Nelk, the company specializes in the automation of financial processes. Since the beginning of 2019, avvaneo has been systematically investing in the development of AI to simplify financial automation and take it to a higher level. Thomas started as a young developer at SAP in the 1990s. At the beginning of the millennium, he and Carsten founded Ebydos AG. The company developed the first Accounts Payable solution for SAP. Thomas also held management positions at Readsoft (now part of Kofax), with which Ebydos merged in 2006, and at Tionnic. In 2017, Thomas and Carsten finally founded avvaneo GmbH, where he is now responsible for customer consulting, sales, and marketing.
